What's better than a snow cone on a hot day? How about a taco as well! Hector's is a hidden gem in Ukiah. Although it doesn't have an actual restaurant front, don't miss this tasty treat. The food is good, the service is fast, and it's always a unique treat if you want to get away from our high-class restaurants in town and just enjoy a local delight. Even as I write this as 9pm, I am craving a grape snow cone!
I have recently been going to Hector's snow cone truck and it's freakin great! I always get the jumbo drinks they gave fo me and my coworkers, so we can keep cool in this heat and its a nice cold treat for us cuz we gave to be outside all day loading customers vehicles up with feed and or hay, so Hectors jumbo drinks come in real handy when doin all of that
I loved their salsa so much when I was pregnant! Now that I don't live as close I mostly bring the kids here for a snow cone. I like their service.
This is one of my favorite spots in town to get a quick bite, especially on lunch breaks.. Now, I'll admit I haven't tried any of their snow cones BUT I have tried Their flautas, Empanadas (from scratch), Tacos, Sopes, Gorditas and Elotes... Everything is delicious however, My favorite are the Gorditas and Elote. I always get the Pastor and it is on point!!
By far the best deal I have found in Ukiah!!! The smallest snow cone is one dollar and they give you a lot for your money. I got the guava snow cone the first time, and it was amazing! Definitely tasted like the fruit. Same thing when I came back and got the Georgia peach flavor. Definitely the best snowcones I have ever had!!!I also tried their flautas, which were very tasty but the tortillas were a bit hard to eat with plastic silverware. Would definitely recommend!
If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place. It's located in a mobile food trailer, in a parking lot, at the corner of S. State St. And Cherry. Also, be sure to try the cups of fresh fruit, and of course, the snow cones... But the food... Man, close your eyes and you'll think you're in old Mexico.
